Established in 1992, The Fireplace is a family run business and specialist suppliers of wood burning, solid fuel, gas and electric stoves and fireplaces in Berwickshire, East Lothian, Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders. We pride ourselves in offering high standards of customer care.

We ensure all our staff  have excellent product and technical knowledge, enabling them to discuss in detail all the options available to the client before purchasing. Ensuring you get the correct appliance and look for your home.

All our Heating Engineers/Grate Builders are Hetas Registered so you are safe in the knowledge that your new fireplace will be fitted correctly and that the installation is fully compliant with current Building Regulations.

Brief History of ‘The Fireplace’

We first opened our doors in Fenton Barns Retail Park, North Berwick in November 1992, where all our mantels were manufactured by hand. Our product range was limited but through time grew as the demand for our service increased.

We moved our fireplace showroom out of  Fenton Barns Retail Park to new workshops in July 2006. 

Please note we have not traded out of Fenton Barns Retail Park since July 2006.

Our business continues  to grow year on year.  We have only recently moved from our  Haddington showroom where we had been trading for 9 years.
